The language
Garifuna is an Arawakan language shaped by Carib, African, French and Spanish contact. It is spoken today along the Caribbean coast of Belize, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua, and in diaspora communities around the world.
Our mission
Make everyday Garifuna easy to find, easy to practice and easy to share — so the next generation grows up hearing it, speaking it and carrying it onward.
